Five days in Montreal

Message par smain le Jeu 15 Jan 2009 - 16:18

Five Days in Montreal
Thank you everyone for wishing me the best, I am really happy to respond to your wishes . my departure was January the tenth, at 2h 50, sorry, at 3h30, the plane took off late. I was well prepared , documents , clothes and cookies, yes I like Moroccan cookies,Ka3b la gazel, feqass et Briwat dial l Walida allah yesmah lina men l walidine .
I am not going to talk about steps or procedures, because they are very easy, you just have to follow the line , when your turn comes, you give your documents and that is all, welcome in Canada, people are simple and clear. Thanks god , my departure and arrival were as I expected.
Probably, I should talk about two important challenges that people experience when travelling to Canada. as far as I am concerned ,an experience that I ve never had before. and which all of us experience when it comes to a trip like this one is this. the most difficult thing about immigrating to Canada is leaving your close relatives. you cannot imagine how difficult it is and how depressing when you are leaving your country, it is not because of your country but because of your dear relatives, I have never thought that I would find difficulties saying goodbye to my dear parents brothers and sisters. It is too hard to tolerate seeing my parents shedding tears because of my departure, at the same time I would never forgive a country that causes its citizens to immigrate. La khair fi dawlati tastaghni 3an chababiha wa 3olamaiha.
The first days are usually more difficult because you heart is still affected by leaving your dear parents and dear relatives and friends, But once you start to make contacts and do research, think about perspectives and other things, you start to forget about the depression , so it is very important for a person to start whatever necessary step as soon as you arrive, this way, you will be done with your immigration documents and cards and more importantly, you will forget about the depression
Another challenge is the climate. These days it is -30 in Montreal , for us it is very cold but when I decided to come to Canada at this period ,I was conscious and psychologically prepared and ready to face this climate factor, I go out every day , I go for my documents, cards and staff, I go to meet my friend in a Coffee shop, ,yesterday, it was dark and I had to meet my friend, I decided to walk for 10 min and it was almost -30 degrees .the purpose of this is to Familiarize with the climate, thanks god now things are all right and everyday passed I say “ today is warmer than yesterday “ that is, I am starting to familiarize with the climate. Thanks God and b Rdat l waladin, everything gets easier. What I want to say is that life never stops in Canada because of a climate factor or any other one.
As for lifestyle in Montreal, it is very good; people are very hospital, naive and helpful. Montreal is very big but thanks to the transportation system it becomes very easy to reach whatever destination in a short time. The transportation system is very practical and punctual. You get out of your home, the bus is there in 5 min. The bus takes you to the Underground/ Metro in 10 min max. if you have to wait for the Metro ,it takes you 1min 30 . The administration system has nothing to do with the Morocco administration, I am sorry I cannot compare. That is all I can say, there will be a lot of things to say for sure. I wish you all good luck. My best wishes for all of you

Thank you Nouha, Marki,Hanane ,Fyrouz, and all those I share a simple piece of memory.

Hello Smain
I wish you good luck for your installation : home, work, different immigration documents and cards...
I don't agree with you when you say that people in Montréal are naive, i think that they have a good faith and it is very important in humain relation.

I have one advice to give you : avoid negative people

Best wishes for your new life

Smain, I am so glad to read from you, I can feel your words as they come from the heart, seperation is hard and as you say our country is to blame for letting us go once and twice... and you know what I mean dear friend... I wish you all the best of luck, keep your spirits up and I repeat Hanane's advice, avoid negative people; for all they do is pull you down.
